Kate has worked in social work for over 35 years and has been recognized as being one of the region’s most knowledgeable trauma experts with extensive training from many experts in the field. Before working at Mindfulness Counseling, she served as the Clinical Director at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center as well as at Beech Brook as the Assistant Vice President of Clinical Services, Program Leader for the Treatment of Trauma Disorders. Throughout this time, she has worked as a therapist, supervisor, consultant, trainer, and yoga teacher. Her specialization, as can be seen by the organizations she has worked for, has been focused on recovery from abuse and trauma, however she is well versed in supporting clients in cultivating wellness with a wide range of emotional/mental/behavioral health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, OCD and addiction issues.
Kate Biddle, LISW-S, has had a passion throughout her career to provide high quality clinical therapy using holistic healing practices. As an independently licensed social worker and certified yoga teacher, her clinical work is based in psychotherapy with integrated mind/body practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, unified with the use of Mindfulness and breath practices, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, play therapy, and creative art interventions to promote healing in developmentally appropriate, strength based, and individualized ways. She has extensive experience in providing individual, couple, family and group therapy with clients of all ages from early childhood through adulthood.
