Kelly Morgan was a yoga instructor for over 10 years and utilizes her
experience to offer you breathing and grounding techniques. These practices will help reduce, release, and remove unwanted negative emotions that are stored in the physical body. Together with Kelly, you will discover and establish a clear and concise path to achieving your goals. Your sessions will be specifically tailored to your individual needs to promote healthy growth.
Kelly’s practice at Mindfulness Counseling, LLC is rooted in Mindfulness, MBCT, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Gestalt therapy and existential psychology. She has worked with sexual assault victims at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center and has assisted the victims of violent crime groups. She provides specialized treatment for trauma, including EFT and energy medicine techniques. She takes a non-judgmental approach and has extensive training in couples therapy and OCD.
You will work with her to remove blocks, change any negative thought patterns you have, and begin the inner self work that is needed for long-lasting life changes. Early experiences shape us and define our relationship to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us. By working collaboratively, we will be able to recognize your wounded inner child and the effect it is having on your current life path.
Feelings, such as shame, fear, anger, abandonment, and lack of trust can all be rooted in early childhood experiences. While on this journey, you will learn to nurture and comfort your inner child while separating it from your adult self. In each therapy session, Kelly builds your trust by supporting, not shaming, and ultimately validating your life experiences.
